LunaRest™ contains the following ingredients within its formulation: Valerian Root, which is said to decrease anxiety and promote relaxation; Jujube Seed Extract, which is also said to have calming effects; 5-HTP, which is said to increase serotonin levels in the body; Melatonin, which is said to enhance the quality of sleep; GABA, which is thought to address anxiety issues; Passion Flower, which is said to have painkilling properties; Theanine, which is said to be a mild sedative; Chamomile, which is also said to work as a sedative; Hops, which may promote relaxation; Lemon Balm and Seville Orange Blossom.

The purported sleeping benefits of this supplement are said to go into effect around 40 minutes after use. This is almost twice as long as other products that we have come across and many consumers may not find this to be fast acting enough.

Based on the ingredient list it appears this supplement’s formulation may be more directed at those with anti-anxiety issues rather than sleeping problems. There are number of ingredients included in LunaRest™ that are known to address anxiety and purported to relief stress. While this may assist with sleep problems to some extent, consumer desiring a sleep aid may want a product more directed at their needs.

A product that contains an ingredient to break down toxins and stimulants in the body, such as caffeine, may be the better choice. In fact, there are now supplements that contain the patented Cysteine Milk Peptide®, which has been clinically proven to eliminate any toxins that may disrupt sleep patterns. Unfortunately, this ingredient is not contained in LunaRest™.

This supplement does have its own product website. It is possible to find the complete ingredient list and a detailed product description. There is no testimonials tab, but the manufacturer has scattered testimonies from past consumers throughout the site. Though, it only appears that there were two or three in total, at time of review.

We are concerned that there is no cited research on this website to indicate this product has been tested for safety and effectiveness. Considering this and the factor that the manufacturer of this product is undisclosed we are concerned over the quality level of this formula.

In the end, this product may be best suited for those consumers who have sleep problems due to anxiety. This formulation does contain a number of ingredients that are meant to address this issue, but when it comes to a sleep aid as a whole, LunaRest™ does not appear to be the best option. Consumers may prefer a product with a faster delivery system and one that contains the above mentioned Cysteine Milk Peptide®.

For those interested, a one-month supply of LunaRest™ costs just under $50. However, there are discounts offered when buying in bulk. Unfortunately, the formula is not one of the best we have seen.
